Tools Needed:

  • Yarn: Brown (for the bear), pink or red (for the heart), white and black (for details)

  • Other Tools: Yarn needle, scissors, stitch marker, stuffing, blank keyring

Abbreviations

  • SC: Single Crochet
  • Inc: Increase (2 SC in the same stitch)
  • Dec: Decrease (Invisible decrease recommended)
  • Magic Circle: A technique used to start crocheting a round

Head Pattern

  1. Round 1:
    • Create a magic circle.
    • Chain 1 (does not count as a stitch).
    • Make 6 SC into the magic circle.
    • Pull the tail to close the circle tightly.
  2. Round 2:
    • Make 1 increase in each stitch all the way around (12 SC).
  3. Round 3:
    • Alternate: 1 SC, 1 inc around. (18 SC total).
  4. Round 4:
    • Place 1 SC in each stitch around to maintain 18 SC.
  5. Round 5:
    • Sequence: 5 SC, 1 inc. Repeat this sequence three times (21 SC total).
  6. Round 6:
    • Place 1 SC in each stitch around (21 SC).
  7. Round 7:
    • Sequence: 6 SC, 1 inc. Repeat this sequence three times (24 SC total).
  8. Rounds 8 & 9:
    • Place 1 SC in each stitch around to maintain 24 SC.
  9. Safety Eyes:
    • Insert safety eyes between rounds 6 and 7, approximately 3 stitches apart.
  10. Round 10 (Start decreasing):
    • Sequence: 2 SC, invisible dec. Repeat all the way around (18 SC).
  11. Round 11:
    • Sequence: 1 SC, invisible dec around (12 SC).
  12. Round 12 (final decrease round):
    • Invisible decrease in every stitch (6 SC).
    • Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
    • Weave the tail through the front loops of the remaining stitches, pull tight to close the hole.

Ear Pattern (Make 2)

  1. Magic Circle:
    • Chain 1.
    • Make 5 SC into the magic circle, pull tail to close. Fasten off, leaving long tail for sewing.

Muzzle Pattern

  1. Round 1:
    • Create a magic circle.
    • Chain 1, make 6 SC into the circle. Close tightly.
  2. Round 2:
    • Increase in every stitch around (12 SC).
  3. Embroidery:
    • Use black yarn to embroider the nose as a triangle at the center of Round 1.
    • Add vertical stitches below the triangle for the mouth.

Body Pattern

  1. Round 1:
    • Create a magic circle.
    • Chain 1, place 6 SC into the circle.
  2. Round 2:
    • Increase in every stitch around (12 SC).
  3. Round 3:
    • Alternate: 1 SC, 1 inc around (18 SC).
  4. Round 4:
    • Sequence: 2 SC, 1 inc around (24 SC).
  5. Round 5:
    • Sequence: 3 SC, 1 inc around (30 SC).
  6. Round 6:
    • Place 1 SC in each stitch around (30 SC).
  7. Round 7 (Start decreasing):
    • Sequence: 3 SC, invisible dec. Repeat around (24 SC).
  8. Round 8:
    • Place 1 SC in each stitch around (24 SC).
  9. Round 9:
    • Sequence: 2 SC, invisible dec around (18 SC).
  10. Round 10:
    • Place 1 SC in each stitch around (18 SC).
  11. Round 11:
    • Alternate: 1 SC, invisible dec around (12 SC).
    • Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.
  12. Stuff:
    • Stuff the body generously before sewing closed.

Arm Pattern (Make 2)

  1. Round 1:
    • Create a magic circle.
    • Chain 1, place 6 SC into the magic circle.
  2. Rounds 2–9:
    • Place 1 SC in each stitch around (6 SC in each round).
  3. Stuffing:
    • Do not stuff the arms. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Leg Pattern (Make 2)

  1. Round 1:
    • Create a magic circle.
    • Chain 1, place 6 SC into the magic circle.
  2. Round 2:
    • Sequence: 2 SC, 1 inc. Repeat twice (8 SC).
  3. Rounds 3–6:
    • Place 1 SC in each stitch (8 SC per round).
    • Lightly stuff the tip of the leg. Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing.

Heart Pattern

  • Refer to the creator’s other video for the detailed heart pattern. Sew the heart to the bear’s belly.

Assembly

  1. Attach Muzzle:
    • Position the muzzle centered between the eyes. Sew all around.
  2. Attach Ears:
    • Position ears at the top sides of the head (around rounds 3–4). Sew securely.
  3. Sew Head to Body:
    • Line up the head and body openings (both 12 stitches). Sew them together securely
  4. Sew Arms:
    • Position the arms to hold the heart and sew along the shoulder lines.
  5. Sew Legs:
    • Position legs at the base of the body. Ensure symmetry so the bear can sit upright.
  6. Add Keyring:
    • Use the yarn tail from the head’s top to attach the keyring securely.

Finishing Touches

Tie off all yarn tails securely, hide the knots within the body, and ensure the bear’s assembly is tight and seamless.
