How To Crochet Amigurumi Mini Chick

Materials Needed:

• Yellow and orange yarn
• 4mm plastic eyes
• Crochet hook suitable for the yarn size
• Stitch markers
• Yarn needle
• Stuffing

Pattern:

Hat:

1. Magic Ring:
   • Wrap the yarn around your fingers.
   • There will be 2 lines when you flip it.
   • Hook under the 1st one and hook over into the 2nd one.
   • Finish with a chain.
2. Row 1:
   • Make 6 single crochets (sc) in the magic ring.
   • Pull the yarn to close the ring.
3. Row 2:
   • Make an increase (2 sc in each stitch) in each stitch (12 sc total).
   • Place a stitch marker in the first stitch.
4. Row 3:
   • 1 sc in the first stitch, increase in the next stitch; repeat pattern till end (18 sc).
5. Rows 4 and 5:
   • 1 sc in each stitch (18 sc).
6. Row 6:
   • Using the front loop only (FLO), make 1 sc in each stitch (18 sc).
7. Finish:
   • Cut the yarn and weave in the ends.

Body:

1. Attach the Yellow Yarn:
   • Using the back loop of the last row of the hat, attach the yellow yarn and make one chain.
2. Rows 7 and 8:
   • Secure the start of the yarn and make 1 sc in each stitch (18 sc).

Eyes and Mouth:

   • Chain 26 (adjust the number of chains based on the chick size).
   • Attach with a slip stitch to the other side of the bag.
   • Make one chain to finish off and cut the yarn.
   • Weave in the ends.
