Face

Beak

The beak is between R4 and R5, and is about 4 stitches across. Thread a 15-inch piece of orange yarn and insert into the plushie from top of the head.

Eyes

When you have the beak, the eyes are between R3 and R4, about 2 stitches horizontally away from the edge of the beak.

Beak (in detail)

Go into the starting hole, exit through the ending hole, and then circle back into the starting hole again. Repeat 2 more times. You should have 3 strands of yarn on the face's surface.

Loop around the 3 strands of yarn 4 times. Insert the needle back out to the top of head and tie a knot to fasten.

Flower petals

Using red yarn.

ch 5
dc into 2nd chain from hook
sl into final chain

When you have all five petals, sl back into the first petal. Fasten off and weave in.

Flower stem

Using green yarn.

Fasten off, leaving a long tail for sewing to the petals and to the head.

Sew the stem onto the center of the five petals using five stitches

Flip the petals over. Run the green yarn under the green stitches and pull tight to make the petals curve towards the center. - Sew flower on top of head.
